The Month AheadDear KAC Family There are four matters that I wish to bring to your attention for the coming Month or so: 1. As we mentioned last week, this Sunday will be the dedication of little Keira, as well as being our monthly Communion and Church lunch. Because of the extra number of visitors, I would encourage you all to be at church on time, not only to ensure you get a seat, but to welcome our guests. There is nothing more embarrassing than to have visitors arrive early and there are no regulars present. 2. The next Sunday, 13 May, the preacher will be Wally Stasinowsky. Wally is an exciting young man who was a professional builder in the US, but sold his business to prepare for full-time ministry. He and his wife were raised in the Nazarene Church and knew nothing of the work of the Holy Spirit. However, their lives were turned around when Wally led a Building Mission Team to the Nazarene Church in Adelaide and found the Pastor there to be filled with the Spirit. Wally and his wife are now students at the Dayspring School of Ministry and have a heart to reach out to the many who have been hurt by, or are disillusioned with the Church. This week Wally is ministering at the Christian booth at the Mind, Body and Spirit Convention at Darling Harbour and has some fascinating experiences to relate. 3. On Sunday 27 May the President of C&MA Australia, Rev Rod Russell-Brown will be preaching at KAC. This is also the end of the C&MA Week of Prayer, the Global Day of Prayer, the day after the National Day of Thanksgiving, and also Pentecost Sunday! 4. On Sunday 10 June we will have the Dr Daniel Shayesteh speaking at KAC. As you will know from The Exodus from Darkness Newsletter that I circulated this week, Daniel is having an exciting and challenging ministry around the world as he gives his testimony of how God brought him out of the darkness of Islam, and speaks about the challenge of Islam to the Western world today. I believe this is an exciting opportunity for us all to bring along our friends and neighbours. The challenge of Islam is an issue that is at the forefront of much public comment today, and many people are confused. This is an opportunity to invite others who would like to come to a better understanding of the Truth. I am letting you know this far ahead so that you can be praying about who to invite, and making sure they put it in their diary well ahead.
